A New Vision for Seraing
Thomas & Piron set out to develop Gastronomia, a mixed-use real estate project combining housing, office spaces, and a vibrant food court. Located in the heart of Seraing, near Liège, the site holds deep industrial roots, once part of John Cockerill’s legacy. Many of the city’s buildings still reflect this rich past, and the Gastronomia site is no exception. A historic hall on the premises is being carefully restored, preserving its original architecture while welcoming gourmet shops and a lively food court.



A Branding Inspired by Architecture and Legacy
With Gastronomia blending multiple functions—dining, living, working, and retail—it was essential to create a flexible yet cohesive visual identity. The site's industrial heritage served as a key inspiration, particularly its shed-style rooftops and architectural details, which directly influenced the logo’s design. The brand’s bold colors and dynamic patterns, derived from the site’s geometric forms, inject energy and modernity into the project.

The Gastronomia branding reflects Seraing’s transformation—a city reinventing itself, attracting new residents, and reclaiming its vibrancy. More than just a real estate project, it’s a symbol of renewal, blending history with a fresh, contemporary spirit.
